Where can I locate stock information for a publicly traded company?

There are many resources for stock and financial information of publicly traded companies. For library databases, try Mergent Online or Morningstar Investment Research Center. For freely online resources, try the company's investor relations page or the EDGAR database by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

 

Library Databases

Mergent Online

  1. Search by company name or ticker symbol in the Company Search box
  2. Stock information is under the Ownership and Equity Pricing tabs

Note: Equity Reports are located under the Reports tab

 

Morningstar Investment Research Center

  1. Search by company name or ticker symbol
  2. Stock information is under the Performance tab

Note: Stock Analysis provides current and historic analysis of a company's stock

 

Online Resources

Company's Investor Relations webpage (e.g., Walt Disney)

  1. Conduct a Google search: company name investor relations (e.g., Disney investor relations)

Note: All publicly traded companies will have an investor relations page with news, annual and quarterly reports, stock prices, and financial information.

 

EDGAR by the SEC
